Radstadt Austria
Known as a nice Activities in the mountains, Radstadt is a medieval town lying at an altitude of a little less than 900 meters. It is considered a place with lots of snow and sun. The variety of activities in winter and summer attracts lots of tourists from all over the world.
The city charter was conferred in 1289. The strategic location and the blossoming trade have made Radstadt an excellent point of attraction for many visitors throughout the centuries. The late Roman city parish church, the gothic light column, the well-preserved city walls and round towers as well as the Capuchin tomb in the former monastery make us feel the pulse of history today.
One of the most famous sons of Radstadt is Paul Hofhaymer, the composer and conductor at the court of Emperor Maximilian, and known far across the country's borders. And since everything here has a history, it should also be mentioned that one of the first chairlifts was operated in Radstadt already in 1949. Radstadt is not just a pioneer as far as spirit of innovation is concerned, but also in the sense of a sports spirit.
